Directions to school: Follow I-435 N to I-35 N. Follow to the Hwy. 69 exit. Follow Hwy. 69 to Excelsior Springs. Turn left on Crown Hill Rd. (2nd light). Follow Crown Hill Rd. to the Excelsior Springs Middle School.

Directions to Roosevelt Field (football/track): Follow I-435 N to I-35 N. Follow I-35 to Hwy. 69 exit. Follow Hwy. 69 to Excelsior Springs. At the first light follow MO 10 Hwy. into downtown. Turn right on Farris / N Hwy., then left onto S. Marietta. Follow S. Marietta to Roosevelt Field.

Curricular Offerings:
Students who attend Excelsior Springs Middle School take a course of study made up of the following class offerings:

• Math (this includes opportunities to take Advanced Math in 7th grade and Algebra in 8th grade)
• Communication Arts • Computers • Art
• Science • Health / Physical Education • Exploratory Rotation
• Social Studies • Music (Instrumental / Vocal) • Family & Consumer Science

After School Activities:
Faculty and Staff of Excelsior Springs Middle School sponsor a variety of after school opportunities for our students. These include S.T.E.A.L.T.H. (student government), Jr. Optimist Club, and Builders Club (Kiwanis). ESMS also provides an extensive Intra-mural for our students. Offerings range from traditional (softball, flag football, etc.) to non-traditional (baby sitting skills, Tai-Bo, etc.). After-school tutoring for students needing extra help is a held on a regular basis at ESMS.

Co-curricular Offerings:
Excelsior Springs Middle School is a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) and adheres to the Constitution and by-laws of that organization. ESMS offers the following MSHSAA sanctioned activities:

Fall
Football - 8th Grade
Volleyball - 8th Grade
Cross Country - 7th & 8th Grade

Winter
Basketball - 8th Grade
Wrestling - 7th & 8th Grade

Spring
Track - 7th & 8th Grade

In addition ESMS students participate in selected Music competitions which are governed by MSHSAA rules.

Students at Excelsior Springs Middle School have the opportunity to participate in our Science Olympiad and Math Relays teams. For more information on any program at the middle school contact our office at 630-9230.
